Environmental Science |
Ms. Nicodemus' Environmental Science students have been learning what it is like to be a conservationist. They were tasked with saving three endangered species on Conservation Island by choosing 800 sq km of land to protect, based on the animal's habitat, their current range, and what is threatening them. They also had to take into account the people who are living on the island. Shown here are the 800 sq km chosen by each of the three classes (colored in orange), and it is remarkable how much overlap there was in the areas chosen. |
