📚✨ Exciting news for Framingham Public Schools! 📚✨

FRAMINGHAM, MA — August 11, 2026 —  Framingham Public Schools (FPS) has once again been awarded state grant funding through the Partnership for Reading Success–Massachusetts (PRISM) continuation grant program. The Framingham Public Schools began their work in the PRISM consortium in the Spring of 2025.

The grant is part of a statewide $24.7 million investment announced by Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll aimed at improving literacy instruction and student reading outcomes across the Commonwealth by expanding access to high-quality instructional materials and supporting educator capacity across pre-K through 12th grade. Framingham’s award is part of the PRISM I continuation grant cohort—a targeted $10.2 million initiative supporting 13 school districts across Massachusetts that are actively implementing comprehensive, system-wide early literacy improvements.

The $924,975 award will allow Framingham Public Schools to build upon its ongoing efforts to strengthen early literacy programming, expand targeted professional development for educators, and support high-quality, evidence-based instructional materials to ensure every student achieves reading proficiency at or above grade level by the end of third grade.

Every child deserves the opportunity to open those doors—to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence that come with being a strong reader. This grant enables our district to continue delivering rigorous, evidence-based early literacy instruction tailored to meet the needs of all our students in PreK-3, while deepening and strengthening literacy practices in grades 4-5.
