Athletic Recognition - Basketball (Allie Regan)

Allie Regan scored her 1000th varsity point against Wellesley on January 3rd. 

Athletic Honors - Soccer (Sofia Carney)

Sofia Carney won the 2024 Metrowest Daily News Girls Soccer Player of the Year.


FHS Robotics Team

FHS Robotics Team 9421W “Wicked Smaht” participated in the High Stakes Winter Classic VEX Robotics competition at Mashpee Middle High School on January 6th


The team was awarded the Design Award for their organized and professional approach to the Engineering Design Process, project and time management, and team organization. They also made it all the way to the Semifinals before they lost to the undefeated 1 seed. This is their fourth major award so far this season.

Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE)

The following students have been awarded and accepted these opportunities to travel with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE). In total, $4000 in scholarships have been awarded so far!


Early Accepted and Confirmed Students:

  • Nala Thermora - Creative Writing in Literary London in London, England

  • Lucas Casagrande - Global Entrepreneurship in Singapore, Singapore

  • Jesily Esponilla - Honors Spanish Language in Madrid, Spain

  • Miriam Naguib - Honors French Language in Rennes, France

Students can still apply for these opportunities. The next deadline is January 15 and there is still scholarship money available! For more information visit CIEE Global Navigator Programs
AP Environmental Science

Students in Mrs. Maynard's AP Environmental Science and Mrs. Rathmell's Environmental Earth classes had a visit from Brynn Hamilton, a paleoclimatologist, and Katie Squires, a sediment geochemist to learn more about their PhD research. 


Both students are receiving their degrees through a joint program from MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. 


Students learned about the importance of sediment cores in determining past climatic conditions and distribution of metals from deep sea thermal vents.
