FHS - On the Plus Side (Week Ending March 28th)

On the Plus Side

...is a simple reminder of some of the positive events that happen at Framingham High School every week. #flyerpride

AP Environmental Science

After months of preparation, AP Environmental Science students visited Fuller and Cameron middle schools to present their student-made lessons and activities about environmental issues like water pollution, biodiversity loss, and trash generation. The APES students did an excellent job and the middle school students were engaged during the lessons. Thank you to all who helped make this successful.

Latinx en Acción (LEA Club)

The mission of Latinx en Acción (LEA Club) is to help people embrace different Latino cultures. They meet every other Thursday in C204. As you can see, the participating students had big fun learning to dance Bachata. A big shout-out to the Club leaders: Camila Rendon-Avila, Kayla Mourao and Marcelly De Almeida

Student Artist - Noe Cuxil Elias

Senior Noe Cuxil Elias is an incredibly gifted artist. Staff members have noticed his talent and have asked him to create pieces of work that are meaningful to them. Below is a painting of a house that Noe created from a picture provided. The color and detail are extraordinary. Some of his pieces can also be seen around the school. Thank you Noe, for sharing your beautiful work with us.

Evening Academy

Evening Academy students in Miss Zamora’s Modern World History class worked on an interactive, inquiry-based exploration of World War I. They learned how WWI shaped the world and continues influencing contemporary events and issues.

Environmental Science and Biology Classes

Ms. Nicodemus and Ms. Dinneen made plant pots out of newspaper for students in their Environmental Science and Biology classes to plant tomato, squash, tomatillo, sunflower, basil, sorrell, and other seeds. Some seeds have sprouted, helped along by the mini greenhouses made from plastic water bottles.

Personal Pathways Career & Training Fair a Success!

The Career Development Program and SSA proudly hosted the Personal Pathways Career & Training Fair on Tuesday, creating valuable connections for students exploring alternatives to a four-year college. With 50 vendors and 200 attendees, the event showcased apprenticeships, trade programs, community colleges, military, and direct-to-workforce opportunities, ensuring students have access to diverse career paths.

A huge thank you to all the vendors, students, and staff who helped make this event such a success! Your support is shaping the future of our students.

Flyers Marching Band

Another weekend- another Flyers Marching Band win! I am thrilled to share that over the weekend the Framingham Flyers Marching band came in 1st place in two different competitions, one in New Bedford and the other in Dudley. This has them leading the whole division by 2 full points! We are really looking forward to the State Finals in Dartmouth on April 5th. Congratulations to all of the FFMB students and staff for an amazing indoor season!

While the club's focus is geared toward athletes, everyone is welcome! We meet right after school in F202 every Monday. Questions? Reach out to: isicotte4366@fpsed.org

Please Note
