Framingham Educators Honored at Inaugural TEC Celebrates Teaching Event

Framingham Public Schools is proud to announce that two of its distinguished educators were recognized at the first annual TEC Celebrates Teaching event hosted by The Education Cooperative (TEC) on March 25, 2026.
Each of the 19 member districts were invited to select two educators from their district whose work exemplifies and highlights the chosen themes. This event was intended to serve as a “joyful pause” during the school year that could bring focus to why these educators work so hard each day.
Both Framingham honorees were selected under the theme “Everyone’s Welcome Here”, which celebrates educators who build classrooms where belonging comes first so that learning can follow.
Kaitlin Burkle, Framingham High School Learning Center Teacher, was nominated by Mark Albright, Principal of Framingham High School. Kaitlin has been a cornerstone of the Learning Center since 2020, exemplifying the relational heart of teaching through care, empathy, and intentional practice. Working with diverse learners with significant cognitive and sensory needs, she integrates culturally responsive teaching and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to ensure every student has an authentic entry point into the school community. She is a fierce advocate for her students, ensuring they are meaningfully included academically, socially, and culturally across the entire high school.
“It has been my honor to both teach and learn from such incredible students over my years teaching the multi program at FHS,” Ms. Burkle shared. ”I am particularly grateful for my partnerships with my students’ families, and the Learning Center team as a whole, which enables me to support students in making meaningful connections to their learning- both inside my classroom and beyond. I have no doubt these students will do wonderful things in life, and it is such a privilege to be part of their story.”
Noah Greene, Physical Education Teacher at King Elementary School was nominated by James Bergeron, Principal of King Elementary School. Noah is being recognized for his mastery in creating inclusive spaces where trust and belonging fuel learning. He recently organized a transformative field trip for students in all four sub-separate ASD classrooms, collaborating with staff to ensure an environment typically inaccessible became a space of pure joy. His work perfectly aligns with the district's commitment to equity and the belief that every student deserves a community grounded in belonging.
“I am so thankful for the recognition from FPS and The Education Cooperative, “ said Mr. Greene. “I couldn’t have done our field trip and so many of the great things we do to serve all students at King, especially the students within our ASD program, without admin and ASD staff support. I love that this recognition promotes our focus on making every student have a sense of belonging at our school and within our district. I can’t wait to keep contributing to that every day with my fellow teachers and school community at King!"
Ms. Burkle and Mr. Greene were joined at the breakfast celebration event by Mr. James Bergeron, Principal of King Elementary School, Natalya Mains, Program Director, Ms. Anne Ludes, Assistant Superintendent for PreK-12 Education, and Dr. Robert Tremblay, Superintendent of Schools.
“I was moved by yesterday’s celebration of the incredible educators who find ways to lift our students to their fullest potential,” said Superintendent Dr. Robert A. Tremblay. “Not only does this work align with our district mission and strategic goals, these extraordinary educators reach our students in ways that extend far beyond what is learned in professional licensure programs and what is written in a well-structured lesson plan; These are selfless education professionals who are driven to work in service to others. In a word, inspiring!"
