FHS - On the Plus Side (Week Ending Aug 29th)

On the Plus Side

...is a simple reminder of some of the positive events that happen at Framingham High School every week. #flyerpride

In the 2024-2025 school year, Framingham High School proudly administered 1,003 Advanced Placement (AP) exams, with 833 students earning a score of 3 or higher—an outstanding 87% qualifying for potential college credit. In addition, 82 students were recognized as AP Scholars, a distinction awarded to those who earned a score of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.

These achievements are a true reflection of the dedication and perseverance of our students, as well as the expertise and commitment of our teachers. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this remarkable success!

FHS Drama Company

The FHS Drama Company held auditions for the Fall show, Wendy & Peter Pan on the first day of school. 55 students will be featured in the cast. The first FHS Drama Company meeting will take place this coming Tuesday, September 2nd at 2pm in the theatre. All are welcome.

Other shows this year include: Disney's Frozen in January, the METG Festival production in March, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in May.

Spanish Literature
As part of their summer reading for Spanish Literature, students are asked to create a One Pager that captures their thinking, analysis, and reflections on the text. This visual and written product allows students to demonstrate understanding while making personal connections to the literature.

Sociology Class
Students playing a modified monopoly game to mimic the real world and then will analyze through a sociological lens.
FHS Physics
Students are building teamwork by figuring out how to use forces to build stacks of cups and pyramids using amazing teamwork, patience and sharing of ideas.
FHS Physics (Continued)
Kicked off our physics journey with a fun, challenging game to explore how teamwork makes tough tasks easier. It was the perfect way to experience the power of collaboration before diving into the world of Forces!

AP Spanish Language and Culture

Our AP Spanish Language and Culture students have now completed course registration and are actively engaging in introductory activities to build a strong foundation for the year.

As part of the on-boarding process, students participated in a collaborative group activity designed to review and reinforce their knowledge of the structure and expectations of the AP Exam.

Please Note

This is not meant to be a comprehensive list as we have so many great events happening at FHS.....each week different events, activities and groups will be highlighted.
